ever wonder what happens when you take a camera off at 65 deg bus and into 95 deg humidity?

dirt field for a venue. I believe that’s attack attack on stage. circle pits created small tornados. Really hot and humid, the bands looked really beat after their 30 min sets.
A couple of shows back my monitor rack overheated in the 106 deg sun and stopped working. leaving me with three more bands that day and nothing but sidefills to give them.

Sound people dont have any free time durring the day so meals have to be brought to them. I get a kick every time I get my food.

All hail crew chief Tommy, for he has brought us food.

Woke up to see vast empty valleys and mountain ranges and guess that I was some where in Nevada or Arazona. Stoped by wall mart to pick up a fan and some gun muffs. Stepped off the bus (wich is kept at a perpetual 65deg) and got hit by 97 deg heat. Tommy the crew chief went grocery shopping and outfitted the bus with a major stash of food and snacks. I’m guessing that that will prove invaluable later on. And then we got to the hotel where everyone split up into their rooms. I took a nap then went to hang out by the pool. Taked some and found a great bbq going. Hung out some more then went to plan out with Kyle how we are going to set up our digital boards tommorow.

Day two of having a stage overlooking the water. Going to definitely miss this later on. This day was windy and surprisingly cold. Ran into a bunch of old program board friends which was great. Got all my bands setteled and dialed in pretty quickly too, figures that its my last day mixing on a Midas Sienna. At the next show I’ll have a digital board and have to start all over again.
Back home!
Oh man, day 3 and I’m allready back.
Woke up to find the bus was parked out on a pier over the bay in the very familiar city of San Francisco. Also found the bus was parked next to catering, which was very nice. Grabbed some food and set off in search of my stage. I was a little worried about timing, since I had two days to get ready at Pomona, and this day I only had the morning. Worked out alright though, first band surprised me and started at 10:15. Had to finish mic’ing the drums as they were playing their first song. A new band was added called Shooter Jennings, giving me ten total.
Weather was perfect, warm, sunny, nice breeze, not like San Francisco at all. Had a view of the whole bay behind me. Lots of people came out to see the show and everyone seemed to have a good time. People didn’t even throw stuff. Met up with the parents afterward and grabed a beer and more food.

Got back to the bus, handed out the food my mom brought from home and went to sleep rolling back south.
