Grabbed a few cellphone shots when I first got here.

Flight left Sunday at 7PM, arrived Tuesday at 8AM. Felt like a dreamworld, neither awake nor asleep.

For the day of December 6 I did not exist.

Sydney at last.

Flew out to the Bahamas for a corporate show.

First night

From 2010 Bahamas

Mike looks very unhappy

From 2010 Bahamas

Me too

From 2010 Bahamas

Pretty obvious why

From 2010 Bahamas

Many photos were taken to share how arduous it was

From 2010 Bahamas

An easy push out to the venue

Somehow this statue got moved from its natural position, of course I have no idea how or why…

The Versailles gardens venue

Sadly the shipping containers containing all our gear were late.

Everyone was very disappointed

From 2010 Bahamas

Someone seems to have thought that there would be a scarcity of sand on the island, necessitating shipping our own sand thousands of miles at unimaginable cost.

From 2010 Bahamas

and, finally, a container

From 2010 Bahamas

Some interesting packing methods

From 2010 Bahamas

and now the fun begins

From 2010 Bahamas

the work continues into the night

From 2010 Bahamas

Bad news on the horizon

And then the wind starts…

From 2010 Bahamas

The lighting guys very professionally secure their gear to their gator (off road golf cart)

From 2010 Bahamas

Client provided shirts were required for the week. No one was crazy about the color.

From 2010 Bahamas

Nice and normal working conditions

From 2010 Bahamas
From 2010 Bahamas

A large emphasis was placed on not seeing the gear, hence, humping it into the forest

From 2010 Bahamas

No shoes allowed on the carpeted venue

From 2010 Bahamas

Mainstage preparation underway

From 2010 Bahamas

I dont even know how this is possible

From 2010 Bahamas

No OSHA out here..

All and all the festivals been a well oiled craziness, if such a thing exists. Over 25 years so far and some organizers have been there since the beginning. You can tell this town has put a lot of heart into this. The days are long, and the mayor himself is one of the forklift operators. The bands come from far and wide, even ran into an old friend from the dorms Stephen, drumming for Sprout. Twelve bands in twelve hours for the second day. Three days in total. No rest to be had here.
