Sadly the shipping containers containing all our gear were late.
Everyone was very disappointed

Someone seems to have thought that there would be a scarcity of sand on the island, necessitating shipping our own sand thousands of miles at unimaginable cost.

All and all the festivals been a well oiled craziness, if such a thing exists. Over 25 years so far and some organizers have been there since the beginning. You can tell this town has put a lot of heart into this. The days are long, and the mayor himself is one of the forklift operators. The bands come from far and wide, even ran into an old friend from the dorms Stephen, drumming for Sprout. Twelve bands in twelve hours for the second day. Three days in total. No rest to be had here.
